Want to change what Safari opens to? Safari lets you set any custom URL as your homepage, new tab page, and startup page - no extensions needed.

The fast way

Don't see a home button? Keep reading.

Full setup

1. Set your homepage

  1. Open Safari Settings (click Safari in the menu bar, then Settings, or press Cmd (⌘) + Comma (,))
  2. Click the General tab
  3. In the Homepage field, enter your custom URL (e.g., https://nugs.gg/start)

2. Set your new tab and new window pages

Still on the General tab:

  1. Set New windows open with to Homepage
  2. Set New tabs open with to Homepage

Done

Open a new tab or new window. You should see your custom homepage. (If you haven't picked one yet, might we suggest nugs.gg/start? 😉)

Troubleshooting

Safari new tab page not working? Make sure both "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with" are set to "Homepage" (not "Start Page").

Safari settings not sticking? Close and reopen Safari after making changes.
