Vault

The Vault is an encrypted space inside nugs.gg for storing sensitive notes, links, or any content you want protected by a password.

Setting Up the Vault

1. Open Settings → Vault
2. Click Create Vault
3. Enter a strong passphrase (you'll need this to unlock)
4. Confirm the passphrase and click Create

The Vault is encrypted locally in your browser. Your passphrase is never sent anywhere.

Important: If you forget your passphrase, there is no recovery option. The data is encrypted and cannot be accessed without it.

Locking & Unlocking

Unlock

1. Click the Vault icon in the dock
2. Enter your passphrase
3. Press Unlock

The Vault auto-locks after a period of inactivity (configurable in Settings).

Lock Manually

• Click the lock icon inside the open Vault, or
• Close the Vault panel — it will auto-lock when you leave

Storing Content

Once unlocked, the Vault works like a private notebook:

• Add notes, links, or any text content
• Content is encrypted automatically on save
• Nothing is synced — everything stays in your browser

Changing Your Passphrase

1. Unlock the Vault
2. Open Vault Settings
3. Click Change Passphrase
4. Enter your current passphrase, then your new one

Deleting the Vault

1. Open Settings → Vault
2. Click Delete Vault
3. Confirm — this permanently removes all Vault data

Deleting cannot be undone.
